For example, an official Gran Turismo 7 booklet that’s being handed out to fans in certain countries mentions the number of cars and tracks the game will feature at launch. That aside, we’ve has a fair share of leaks too that point to some gameplay features and content that hasn’t been revealed yet. Developer Polyphony Digital is doing a great job teasing many of the game’s features via short developer diary videos. Gran Turismo 7Those of you who favor sim over arcade racers, one of the most important games is coming out in just three months from now: Gran Turismo 7. The game will be available on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, alongside PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam and Origin). After the story, which should take players about 10-12 hours to finish, progress carries into career mode, opening up a new series of events to complete.Ĭodemasters announced last year that GRID Legends is scheduled for release on February 25, 2022. The story comes to life using real actors instead of motion-capture, so expect to see movie sequences in between racing challenges. I'm just disappointed in the actual career mode features or lack thereof. It has been created using virtual production technology and features award-winning actor Ncuti Gatwa, known for his role in the Netflix comedy-drama series Sex Education. I really liked the circuit style racing and GT7 does that very well. Before someone comments and accuses me of not understanding the difference between the games, I do understand they are different games with different audiences. I'm pretty bummed but I'll be returning to FH5 to get my racing fix. In my opinion, it's just another nudge towards microtransactions. So much fun can be had with the Auction House and GT7 really missed an important part of any career mode racing game by leaving out the ability to sell cars. Once again, FH5 puts this to shame with the Auction House. It's a minor nitpick, but it just doesn't resonate with me.Īnother issue I have with GT7 is you can't sell cars. GT7 gives you a screen with random parts and upgrades for every part of the car. What I mean is that you click into the customization menu of FH5 it gives you categories like Engine, Platform Handling etc. FH5 puts this to shame with the layout of the customization. All the parts are displayed on one screen with no divisions in categories. The customization is pretty neat but the layout feels weird and inconvenient. In my opinion, it's an abysmal career mode and feels incredibly empty. GT7 basically gives you the menu challenges and then pushes you towards microtransactions to afford better cars and parts. I want to race and win money/cars to keep entering into different race types etc. Unless you're one of those people obsessed with getting gold in license tests. Once you beat those menu challenges, the career mode is basically over. However, for GT7 the visuals are basically the only postive thing I have to say about it. I'm not some moron that expected GT7 to be open world or something like that. I own both a PS5 and Xbox Series X.įirst of all, I know FH5 and GT7 are two very different racing games with different points of focus. However, I was really excited for the new Gran Turismo. I really loved FH5 and was addicted for about a month.
